Water Purification – Purifying Water for Long Term Storage

Summary:
Make stock chlorine from 68+% calcium hypochlorite, e.g. pool shock
— use latax gloves and respiratory mask
— mix one heaping 1/2 teaspoon (4 grams) per 1 gallon of water
— shake and then sit for 20 minutes

Use stock chlorine to treat water:
–Mix well 1 gallon stock chlorine / 100 gallon of water ( 1 part of chlorine / 100 part water)
Here’s the break down 4 pints == 100 g or 1 pt == 25 gallons of water … 1 cup == 12 gal … 2 oz == 3 gal … 1 oz == 1.5 gal
— Let treated water sit for 3-4 hours on open container before drinking.
